About Me

I am a post-colonial mutt. Mine is a calico family with every color of skin and hair and talent and challenge all wrapped up in love.

I am thankful for the complexity of my family

Here’s a photo of me with the rose handed to me at my dedication in 1963! And, that’s me at an LRY event in the 1970s. In college I served as an intern with the UUSC.

It’s true, I have always been a Unitarian Universalist! My husband and I were married at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin in 1994 and we have raised our two children in that congregation.

As a community minister, I have lived out my 7th Principle commitments by helping people plant trees. Indeed, walking, planting, dancing with the world is my most sincere form of prayer.
